In the game one can roam around a more detailed Manhattan city, and can take advantage of the open-world gaming theme, which will let gamers explore more and fight thugs around the city, separately from the main storyline. The new Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game for small screen devices will tie-in with the game's movie version, which is said to hit the theatres in May 2014. The video game is tipped for an April 2014 launch, across platforms. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 2nd.Gameloft, which already has popular franchises like Asphalt, Modern Combat and Real Football under its portfolio, has released the first trailer of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 game for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8 users. Gameloft will have more tidbits to share soon, hopefully including a more specific release date. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available on iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Phone in April. There will be villains Electro and Green Goblin, but other baddies will be along for the ride too. This will be another open world superhero beat 'em up, but Gameloft is promising an even larger version of New York for players to roam around in. If you wait it out, they sometimes go on sale a few months later. Gameloft usually prices big name games like Spider-Man 2 at $6.99. Devices are finally fast enough that this developer's more ambitious games actually provide a good experience. The visuals look great, like most of Gameloft's recent titles. The game is intended to take place alongside the film and tell a related story, not to simply retell the plot. The French developer has even gone so far as to offer up a trailer showing a hint of the gameplay.
